Impatience

Live performance performed at Hectolitre, Brussels, on August 21th 2021 as a culmination of a three month artistic residency. The performance acts as an associative soundtrack to the film "Impatience" (Charles Dekeukeleire, 1928, Belgium), which is projected in the space simultaneously. It consists of a continuous 30-35 minutes live music performance, divided into five parts. The result is a meditative journey, growing from experimental ambient through wavy spoken word and singing, up until the final climax. Thus a narrative, not present in the film, is created by the music. The performance is somewhere between a concert and performance art, where the listeners/viewers can choose to focus on the film, the live performance, or dig deep into themselves.
